Born in Glasgow to a family with four brothers and two sisters, after War service in Her Majesty’s Royal Navy, Jimmy came to Hamilton to find love later in life and married Lillian in July 1965 (deceased November 12, 2013), gaining a family with two sons and three grandchildren. Well-read and number savvy, Jimmy had a second love in soccer and the British Imperial Club. A life-long member of the Ironworkers Union and always aware of world affairs and finances. Predeceased by brothers John, Robert, Alex, and sister Jean, Jimmy leaves behind a sister, Janet O’Neil, in Scotland, brother Edward Munro in Hamilton, grandchildren Shelley Stacey, Micheal Westenburg (Enza) and Jamie Westenburg, and great-grandchildren Bailley, Alexis and Micheal, niece Kathleen Lynch (Ian) in Scotland, as well as several other nieces and nephews in Scotland and Hamilton area.
