<div itemprop="description">Olga, (nee Kurz, nee Rahn) (nee Kurz, nee Rahn) TOMAITIS <br /> <br /> TOMAITIS, Olga (nee Kurz, nee Rahn) Died peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Grace Manor, Holland Christian Homes, in Brampton, ON, in her 105th year. Olga now resides with her Lord and Saviour. Olga is survived by her children, Waldemar Kurz (wife Ruth), Herta Guderian (nee Kurz, husband Sigmund), Irma Lassel (nee Kurz-late husband George). Olga was predeceased by her children, Else Wittke (nee Kurz-late husband Ragnar), Ewald Kurz, Adolf Kurz ( late wife Karin). Loving Oma to Betty Simpson (nee Lassel), Ralph Lassel, John Lassel, Audrey Stickel (nee Lassel), Walter Kurz, Irma Boltner (nee Kurz), David Kurz, John and Rick Guderian, Renate Schnitzer, and Bernie and Rob Wittke. Olga was a loving Oma to 31 grand- children and great-grandchildren. Olga was born of German descent, in Grabniak, Poland on December 10, 1909 to father, Wilhelm Rahn and mother, Albertine (nee Winkel). Olga was the fifth of nine children, and she outlived all her siblings. Olga married Julius Kurz and had 6 children. Julius died in 1945. Olga married Karl Tomaitis on April 22, 1972, and was married to him until his passing in 1992. Olga immigrated to Canada in 1951, where she resided in Niagara Falls, ON. In 1953 Olga relocated her family to Kitchener, ON, where she worked for many years in a nursing home, and a funeral home. Olga moved to and resided in Hamilton, ON from 1958 until 2005. Her second last move was to a condo, part of United Mennonite Home in Vineland, ON, where she lived on her own until her 100th birthday. Her last move was to Brampton, ON in November of 2013. Olga was highly respected for her strong faith in God and she would always pray for God's blessings for our family. Even in her later years, she continued to sing hymns and recite Bible verses from memory. Following our visits with her, she would always remind us that she was trusting God to take care of us (&quot;Gott befohlen&quot;). We will forever be thankful for her spiritual guidance of our family. She will be lovingly remembered, and dearly missed by family and friends. Family will receive friends at Dodsworth &amp; Brown Funeral Home, Robinson Chapel, 15 West Avenue N., Hamilton, Ontario (905-522-2496) on Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church (with a reception to follow), 104 Hughson Street North, Hamilton, on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton,ON. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's Lutheran Church or Liebenzell Mission of Canada would be deeply appreciated. <br /></div>
