<div itemprop="description">TUKLERS, Ruta Sadly, we announce the passing of our loving mother and nana Ruta Tuklers (nee Rozentals) on March 21, at St. Joseph's Hospital, in Hamilton. Much loved mother to Inese (Edward) and Natalie (Davis) and grandchildren Katie (Robert), Alex, Ilmar and Katrina. Ruta, born in Riga, Latvia, on March 26, 1928, came to Hamilton in 1948, initially working at the Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital. She graduated from the University of Toronto in Physical and Occupational Therapy and enjoyed a long and fulfilling career, first as an Occupational Therapist at Chedoke Hospital and then as a Physio, rehabilitating stroke patients at the Henderson Hospital. Ruta was a long time member of the Hamilton Latvian Relief Society, Daugavas Vanagi and sang in the Hamilton Latvian Lutheran church choir. She enjoyed a long and eventful life. Predeceased by her son Karlis and twin brother Gunars, we know that they are now together in heaven. Special thanks to Dr. Legassi for helping us through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes to the Latvian Relief Society or the Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.</div>
